Volunteer Service Program Upon the recommendation of any eligible individual, the company will contribute up to $500 to an eligible organization that the individual is involved with on a volunteer basis. Eligible individuals and eligible organizations are defined above under the Matching Grant program. An individual must be actively and continuously involved for at least 12 months as a member of the governing or policy-making board or as a volunteer of the organization. Attendance at occasional meetings or fund raising events is not sufficient. Only one volunteer service grant may be awarded per individual, per calendar year. No more than four volunteer service grants may be awarded to the same organization in a calendar year. Employee Volunteerism - employees volunteer 10 paid hours per month. Matching Grant Program The Company will make a 50% matching contribution for gifts of cash or publicly traded securities to eligible organizations. A gift of securities will be matched on the basis of the market value of the securities on the date of contribution. A gift must actually be made, not merely pledged, and must be from the employee's own assets. Neither testamentary gifts nor payments for membership dues, subscription fees, tuition, or other charges for benefits of any kind qualify for matching grants. Regular, full-time, management and administrative employees are eligible to participate. Eligible organizations include those that have established and maintained Federal tax-exempt status as a charitable organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and are a public organization exempt from private foundation status under Section 509 (a) (1), (2), or (3) of the Code. Fund gathering organizations such as the United Way are not eligible for volunteer service grants or matching grants as they are otherwise covered by Naviasys’ contributions program. Religious, labor, or fraternal organizations are also ineligible except for programs that benefit the community at large. Political parties, organizations, candidate or issues, also fall outside of the eligibility guidelines for matching grants. The minimum gift that the company will match is $25. The maximum number of matching grants per individual per calendar year is four. The maximum amount that the company will contribute per individual per calendar year is $4,000.   Incentive Award Program Naviasys’ involvement in the Incentive Awards Program means that high-achieving high school students from San Jose can qualify for scholarships and other assistance to attend the prestigious University of California, Berkeley .    Portals | Privacy Policy | Site Map | Careers | Contact Us |  © Naviasys Inc. naviasys.com
